| Budget airline Volotea has added its first French connection and has chosen Bordeaux for its home destination. Offering three flights a week the low-cost Venice-Bordeaux flight can seat up to 150 passengers on board its Boeing 717 chartered for the occasion. Volotea also plans to run direct flights from Bordeaux to Ajaccio, Bastia, Toulon, Ibiza, Malaga and Palermo with one-way fares starting at €29. Read more |

Available for free download on the Office’s website, this French/English bilingual document is aimed at tour operators, coach hire companies and travel agencies who wish to organise a group stay in Bordeaux. Recent years have seen an upsurge in interest among the Chinese population for the Bordeaux region. In response to this fast-growing market the Bordeaux Tourist Office now offers versions of its publications and a website in Mandarin, and has chosen to honour the city of Hong Kong in its festival Bordeaux Fête le Vin.
