A New “Must Have” for Tourism Professionals
 
The Bordeaux Tourist Office is launching a superb new sales brochure for travel organizers (agencies, tour operators, associations, groups etc.). A wealth of practical details within its 24 pages: organizing trips to Bordeaux, where to stay, getting around the city, where to eat, what to visit, free-time in Bordeaux and in the vineyards… Currently available in FR/GB online on the Tourist Office website and to be circulated in all upcoming trade fairs. European Chamber Music Recitals, 18 – 26 May
 
As a prelude to the forthcoming 2010 edition of the International Contest, Quartets in Bordeaux proposes a dozen recitals in various emblematic sites of the Gironde city and at the Lafite Rothschild Château. Master classes, directed by Professor Eberhard Feltz, will be organized in the Cour Mably Chapterhouse and open to the public from 20 to 23 May. Read more

The “Down by the Quayside” exhibition pays tribute to port visions and imaginations, displaying over 150 art collection objects from great European museums: paintings, sculptures, sketches, photos, films, precious documents, inviting the visitor on an intense journey to discover this port culture community and the impact the theme has had on art in Europe. Bordeaux Celebrates its River - With Dancing'n'Swinging Quaysides
 
 Bordeaux has dreamt up a brand new river-themed music and dance street party, for Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 June, just when the “Belem”, the last French three-masted tall ship, pays call in the Port de la Lune, in the very heart of the UNESCO World Heritage site. Two days, devoted to classical, rock, pop and jazz music and salsa and hip-hop dance formations. The foolhardy daredevils who want to cool down can also take part in the “Swim Across Bordeaux” race!
