The first Sunday of every month (except in the summer)is a traffic-free Sunday and a program of events is organised in the town-centre.
Bordeaux is always happy to welcome tourist coaches and in order to improve facilities for them has just opened a special coach-park (fee-paying) in the town-centre. The coach-park, which is situated on the Esplanade des Quinconces (access via "les allées de Bristol"), is open 24 hours a day and there is no time-limit for parking.
In addition to this main facility, there are now set down/pick up areas in the vicinity of the hypercentre, on the left bank, and also on the right bank.
Finally, as some streets are extremely narrow and there are also various traffic restrictions in operation, recommended routes for coaches have been drawn up.*
